Wind energy-a viable option

Moving air is generally referred to as wind. Wind energy being renewable in nature is best utilized for creating electricity. Since time immemorial, people have used wind energy for the sail of ships, windmills for grinding grains, and other utilities such as cutting wood, pumping water etc. As a replacement to fuel, wind is the next best alternative for generating electricity. The advantage of wind energy for generating electricity lies in its low-costs, non- polluting qualities, and easy installation in wind-concentric venues. Wind is converted into other forms of energy by wind turbines. Countries taking a leap in wind energy installations include Germany, America, Denmark, Spain, and India.
