To clean the cutting board
• To cleanse the cutting boards wipe down the board with a sponge and hot soapy water immediately after use.
• Get rid of minor stains by sprinkling table salt on the affected area and rubbing the area with lemon wedge.
• For tougher stains use abrasive antibacterial cleaner and scouring pads.
• Rub the board with fine sandpapers to get rid of tougher stains. Be sure to rub along the grains of the wood if the cutting board is wooden.
• Rinse the board well after use.
• Wipe of the board with excess water with a clean towel and lean the board against a countertop to allow for drying evenly.
• To disinfect your cutting board wipe them with full strength vinegar after use.
• 3% Hydrogen peroxide can also be used as a bacteria killer.
• Sanitize both wooden and plastic cutting boards with a diluted chlorine bleach or vinegar solution consisting of one teaspoon of liquid chlorine bleach in one quarter of water or a one to five dilution of vinegar.
